Janice Lee Murphy Obituary

Janice Lee Murphy passed away peacefully at home, with her family by her side, on October 6, 2014.

Janice is survived by her loving husband, Dick Murphy, daughter Molly Comerford (Brian), son Adam Murphy (Angie), daughter Meghan Murphy (Josh), and grandchildren: Sean Comerford, Patrick Comerford, Casey Comerford, Merritt Murphy, Liam Murphy, Taylor Murphy, Flory Murphy, and Maggie Murphy.

Janice was diagnosed with a rare neuro-degenerative disease called Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, or PSP. She battled PSP for seven years with incredible dignity, strength, and grace. Complications from PSP ultimately led to her passing.

A celebration of her life was held Friday, October 10, 2014 at 2pm at Dunwoody United Methodist Church. Donations may be made to miracleformom.org, a non-profit inspired by Janice to raise awareness and funding for a cure.
